Beat Butcha - Bandcamp Exclusives

If your into your hip hop instrumentals like myself this will be right up your ally. The UK's Beat Butcha has released a beat tape of some of his heaviest beats minus the vocals of UK heavyweights such as Jehst, M9 et al as well as a few exclusives.

If you hadn't heard Beat Butcha has been making moves recently and getting attention from US rappers, notably (the slightly questionable) Tony Yayo of G-Unit fame dropped some bars over the Butcha's chops.

I'm still holding out for J. Lawson to drop something...

Throwback Thurdays: Pre-Wu

"Crazy rare 1991 interview (and freestyle) featuring GZA (then doing business as the Genius), Ol' Dirty Bastard (then going by Ason Unique), and RZA (then known as Prince Rakeem) on short-lived, local Bronx public access program, Rhythm & Soul."

Their clothes are slowly coming back into fashion. Just watch.

It's weird to see ODB not wilding out.

Having said that RZA looks boring...

Floor Art

This is pretty mind-blowing. At first I thought it might be some photoshop trickery but then I've seen other works by this guy.

Needless to say, it is epic.

Nike Hachi ND QS

"Nike have created a ‘new’ silhouette for Spring. Introducing the Nike Hachi ND …

There’s a good reason I put the word ‘new’ in inverted commas, as this shoe draws inspiration heavily from the Nike Sting of 1976 – one of my all time favourite running silhouettes. And when I say heavily, this may as well have been called the Nike Sting Vulc Mid, but I guess Hachi is easier to say.

Features such as the materials, foam tongue and of course the lovely plastic lace loops. The Hachi becomes it’s own not only by being a vulc mid but by the addition of a perforated Swoosh and a rather dope heel tab.

What’s nice about this shoe is that appeals both to the Mid-top fans, skate fans and sneaker heads all in different ways."

I'm a big fan of Nike SB Blazers [which I spent half an hour cleaning in the sink the other day], and even the "vintage" Blazers. However the yellowed mid-soul kind of rubs me the wrong way. Buying shoes that have been "un-freshed" to look old... You must be kidding me.

These Hachi's make a nice alternative to Blazer's. I would hope they drop some black ones though.

RorKid ft. Terrawon - To Each His Own

My man RorKid has dropped another banger, this time with Terrawon on the mic and the boards.

Shouts to all my London heads.
Sometimes I miss life in the south of France.
