SOMA - CAUSIN' MASS HYSTERIA

London Posse

The seminal album that went on to influence and inspire generations of UK Hip Hop, Gangster Chronicles, is due to re-release!

Gang Starr - Royalty

"Creme de la creme"

Can't help but spit all the lyrics to this one.

Nike Cortez Classic OG

Nike continue to drop old school "OG" trainers. Early 2012 will see the arrival of a premium leather Cortez.

I know my man, Sleezy B. will be diggin' these.

Available to pre-order at Hanon now.

Nike Air Flight Classic

With everyone creaming their pants about the re-release of the Jordan 3s Black & Cement (as well as the all black Retro Flip) it's nice to see Nike dropping one of it's "little cousins".

The Air Flight Classic, it's kind of a mix of Jordan 3s and Jordan 4s with the signature Swoosh tying it all together neatly.

The cool grey tonal colourway is always a winner too.

Way Back Wednesdays: Skee Lo - I Wish

Skee-Lo - I Wish par matricule1967
Absolute classic.

This takes me back to the days of getting ready for school with MTV on in the background [yes when MTV played music].

Easy Mo Bee Ft. C-Lo & Da Nation - Sex, Money, Drugs

This is a personal classic of mine.

Gets me in the zone.

The East Flatbush Project ft. Des - Tried By 12

Classic...

Wookie - Scrappy

Crank the bass...

Big L & Jay Z - Stretch & Bobbito Freestyle

"Now this is a find…
Back on February 23, 1995 Big L and a young Hov left the Stretch & Bobbito Show studios on fire. Up until now we only had a 7-minute recording of the legendary session. Now — courtesy of DPB — we’ve got the full 9:25 version."

We all know and love the 7 minute version, so rediscovering it in its entirety is dope!

Listen/Download HERE.

RIP Big L

Zoo York - Mixtape Vol.1

Zoo York Mixtape (FULL) from scottieb on Vimeo.

The classic Mixtape video has re-emerged!

"Here’s a classic video that’s become a staple in New York City Skate and Hip Hop culture. After all these years the Zoo York Mixtape Volume 1 has reemerged courtesy of T.R.O.Y., and can now be seen in its entirety through Vimeo. Legends in the realms Hip Hop and Skateboarding – Harold Hunter, Jeff Pang, Vinny Ponte, DJ Roc Raider, Bobbito, Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z & Busta Rhymes are just some of the names that made this historic visual mainstay possible."

This has got to be one of the best Hip Hop videos of all time. Not even for the skating which even by the standards of the time wasn't up to par compared with their left coast compatriots - but the whole vibe is just awesome. NYC, skating, Hip Hop... It has a the flavor of when things were still real...

The Endz - Are You Really From The Endz

Those of you who remember this know - this was a big tune. Got some serious rotation with the boys in the day.

Been looking for this video for years as it had seemingly disappeared after its release until Bunzi D [one of the MC's I think] finally uploaded it to youtube. Winner!

Are you really from the endz...

Jaylib - The Message

I'm not one to jump on Dilla's dillznick - I mean he was tight... but "J. Dilla Changed my life" is straight up bull. Premo changed MY life. Too many people rep Dilla without even understanding hip-hop, never mind what Dilla was on. He's like the producer version of Tupac. Got bare followers that follow without truly understanding the bigger picture.
Anyway nuff ranting, this is Madlib spitting over a J. Dilla beat [that was also used by Busta Rhymes] flipping Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five's classic - The Message.
